Internet Merchant Account
If you have a mail/telephone order business, meaning the majority of your credit card processing occurs with the customer's credit card not present you require a Mail/Telephone Order Merchant Account. At CoCard we do not charge a merchant account application fee, and offer very competitive discount and transaction fees. Our wide selection of credit card machines and terminals allows you to build a credit card processing solution to fit your needs. Already have a credit card machine or system? Then let our support staff assist you in setting-up your existing credit card machine or system with one of our Mail/Telephone Merchant Accounts. Why is the discount rate and transaction fee higher that retail merchant accounts?
Since most transactions are taken without the customer's credit card being physically present, the risk associated with that transaction is deemed greater. Therefore, a higher discount rate and transaction fee are assessed.
Can I use an Internet Gateway to transact mail/telephone orders?
Yes, you can use Authorize.Net Virtual Terminal. In this case you will have to set-up an Internet Merchant Account instead of a Mail/Telephone Order Merchant Account. All fees are exactly the same, with the addition of the Internet Gateway License Fee, and the monthly Gateway Access Fee. Please refer to our Internet Merchant Account section for more information
