You have probably heard news reports about the Durbin Amendment, a financial industry regulation that goes into effect on October 1, 2011.

Since this is a new government directive, there has been a lot of speculation about its possible effects, but no one knows exactly how the law will impact individual merchant accounts or the financial industry as a whole.

We are evaluating how these updates will affect our merchants to ensure that we provide the lowest possible rates under the new regulations. We will be adjusting rates in the next 60 days once we have determined the best options for our merchants. We have always provided honest, direct pricing and passed through card association fees with no additional mark-ups. We will continue to work on our merchants' behalf to make sure that payment processing costs remain as low as possible.
